Saturday night

With "mastership" not placing today Ive come to the decision that Saturday's are now a no lay day!
Ive been going on about it for a long time but today has ironed it out
I can get results in the week with the same horses but not with the same styesem on a Saturday!
Ive already stopped Irish racing in the week now its anything on a Saturday it has to be done the stats don't lie !
Sundays fine
Back tomorrow's

Saturday Lays

Today's lay has just been scratched so no lay today
But I will put up a good each way bet
340-Ascot-Mastership
Back tomorrow

Friday, 25 July 2008

Fridays round up

Two good results
The 810 at Newmarket had two non-runners that both pulled this morning one at 7.0 and the other at 17.0 leaving three horses in the race.
It ended up being a parade race getting involved was risky
With Saturday coming its looking like another tricky day,Saturday always throws up a large number of lays picking the right one that's the tricky part
Back tomorrow

Fridays lay

A good result on Wednesday with "Yarthrb" at Sandown
Two today
The first at Chepstow in the 650-Wotchalike
Thenlater in the 810-Newmarket-Munsef

Tuesday, 22 July 2008

Tuesdays round up

Two more good results with
"Imperial Lucky"and "Trinity Rose" both losing
Both where in or around the 4.5 mark which is a nice number to work with
It is only Tuesday but I'm more then happy with the results since my DARK day last Thursday!
Ive been sticking to the rules trading in £250 liability's and its working,if I have more then two lays I lower it to protect my profit.
If I'm in trouble i.e Ive 101'd on the wrong horse I now think you have to stick at your liability in the past Ive "gambled" with going in heavy and lost
On a good roll lets keep in going tomorrow(or have I just jinxed it)
No you make your own luck
Back tomorrow

Tuesdays lays

Sunday the week round up

A major lesson learnt this week a massive school boy error
I thought I new better I acted with out thinking I played with fire and got burnt badly burnt!!
To the tune of £1834.23
I laid recklessly
I gambled
I laid while under the influence of alcohol(two bottles of red wine)
Was it a lesson learnt I hope so!
That was Thursday evening, Friday I stood up brushed myself down and started again!
Thankfully both Thursday and Friday where successful profitable days
If they had of gone the wrong way this may of been the last entry on the blog
I understand the reasons I lost,if I didn't understand them I would consider knocking this game on the head!
A new week I will pull this round
Back Monday at 200pm

Monday's round up

One loser out of two races
Id like to think the weather had a part in today's results?
But at 230 today it hadn't started raining in Brighton so I cant
The 920 race was a bigger gamble then I first thought the weather was a deciding factor the price went out to 7.6 and then back in to 4.6 so a major fluctuation
I finished the day £2.67 up/in profit not great but not a loss
More tomorrow

Mondays lays

Two today
230-Brighton-Wohaida
920-Ripon-Stalking Shadow
Back later

Sunday, 6 July 2008

Sunday the week round up

Well yesterday was a disappointing result close but not close enough
It been a tricky weekend I'm seriously considering not laying at the weekend as I've said before its always tricky laying on Saturday and Sunday.
I now think its proved it!
After going back to the rules this week i.e trying to protect my profits the weekends results show i could have lost a lot more
I end this week on a respectable £384.92 up/in profit
Remember I'm try to reach £1000 a month a target that is possible as shown in the results.
The flat season has proven itself to be harder then I first thought, all weather meetings are good, jumps are good the flat like weekend laying is tricky!
Back tomorrow

Tuesdays round up

Another nice lay
But a tricky lay watching it five minutes before the off the price did drift in BUT not by two points! it did look like is was coming in before the off a great sign that somethings a foot.
With two winning lays today I feel a lot happier then this time last week when I was chasing a profit Ive gone back to the rules protected my profit and finished up by
£200.74

Tuesday, 1 July 2008

Tuesdays round up

Two nice lays both losing a profit for the day of £113.27
I felt more relaxed today after returning to the rules last month was a experiment that didn't work
Understanding the reasons why it didn't work are a little more difficult

1)Having a better understanding of jump racing?

2)Saturday racing?

3)Acting like a gambler not a trader?

4)Having higher targets?
They all played a part in Junes downfall
My feet are firmly back on the ground in fact Ive started wearing deep sea divers boots!!
Back with more losers tomorrow

Tuesdays lays

The first day of a new month
Two lays at Thirsk
620-Pilca
750-Montiboli
